This week, we welcome Ted Woods to the CBFC Artist Spotlight!
Q. Where are you from?
A. Based outside of Philadelphia.
Q. How long you’ve been drawing?
A. All my life, but professionally since 2010.
Q. What materials do you prefer to do your art with?
A. All traditional: ink with brush, quill, and pens on watercolor paper.
Q. Character you love to draw?
A. Man, I never know an answer to this! Pretty much any DC character is always fun for me.
Q. Character that you want to draw that you haven’t drawn yet?
A. I realized recently that I don’t draw mechs enough, but I wish I would. I think I would have a lot of fun drawing Voltron.
Q. What artist inspires you the most and why?
A. There are a lot of artists I follow online who give me fresh ideas, but I think I’m most consistently inspired by Al Williamson. His comic work still blows me away.
Q. What was your first published work?
A. Self-published a comic anthology back in 2010 for the first con I set up at.
Q. Which artist would you love to do a collaboration piece with?
A. Generally, I actually don’t like working with others haha, but on occasion it’s fun! I think it’s the most dynamic when our styles are vastly different. So I’ll say my friend @melkelart
Thank Ted Woods for taking the time to answer a few of our questions! Be sure to give him follow!
