This week, we welcome Robbie Pelletier to the CBFC Artist Spotlight!
Q. Where are you from?
A. I’m from Waterbury Connecticut.
Q. How long you’ve been drawing?
A. I’ve been drawing since I was able to pick up a pen so before I can even remember. I would force my mom to draw ninja turtle heads and copy them as a baby.
Q. What materials do you prefer to do your art with?
A. I really like using spray paint but recently been getting deeper into alcohol markers. I enjoy painting ON anything unconventional really.

Q. Character you love to draw?
A. I like drawing Raph from TMNT. Carnage is my second favorite. Followed by Deadpool.
Q. Character that you want to draw that you haven’t drawn yet?
A. Polka Dot Man!!
Q. What artist inspires you the most and why?
A. I’m heavily influenced by the structure Jim Lee uses mixed with Todd McFarlane’s Detail. Sprinkle a little Roy Lichtenstein composition in there.
Q. What was your first published work?
A. My first published work was Zine called PhatLip .It was a gritty fine art based zine mixed with short story’s Very Rare . Maybe 100 or less printed. I drew a friend on a skateboard grinding on a rail and I used notebook and construction paper mixed with some comic books cover collage .
Q. Which artist would you love to do a collaboration piece with?
A. I’m excited to collab with my boy Steve King. We’re doing a Turtles 40th anniversary piece.
