This week we welcome Alex Garcia to the CBFC Artist Spotlight!
Q. Where are you from?
A. East Los Angeles
Q. How long you’ve been drawing?
A. Probably since I was 4-5…
Q. What materials do prefer to do your art with?
A. Pencil rules everything…bit I also use Micrpm Pens, a Wacom Tablet for DigitalArt.
Q. Character do you love to draw?
A. Venom, Looney Tune Characters…it varies depending on the mood.
Q. Character that you want to draw that you haven’t drawn yet?
A. There’s a lot out there. I don’t have one specifically.
Q. What artist inspires you the most and why?
A. I grew up in the 80s. So Aragones, Byrne, Frenz, Layton & Zeck. They all brought different traits. I learned a lot from them growing up.
Q. What was your first published work?
A. I never had anything published. Have you seen my account? Publishers are scared of me haha!
Q. Which artist would you love to do a collaboration piece with?
A. If I did a sketch cover…would Brett Breeding ink it.
