This week we welcome Andres to the CBFC Artist Spotlight!
Q. Where are you from?
A. I’m from México! More specific México City.
Q. How long have you been drawing?
A. Since I was 4 years old that I have been putting pencil to paper. And proffesionally since I was 12, so 36 years ago.
Q. What materials do prefer to do your art with?
A. Always prefer just really good ink.
Q. Character you love to draw?
A. Great question haha. I love to draw women. So, I really enjoy to draw Harley Quinn
Q. What Character would you want to draw that you haven’t drawn yet?
A. Mmmmm, maybe Hela from Thor Universe.
Q. What artist inspires you the most and why?
A. Well, I have a lot. But always my grandfather. He was a great cómic artist in México. And obviously, Frazetta, Elvgren, Rockwell, Eisner, Stevens, etc.
Q. What was your first published work?
A. A local comic that I inked in 1992. And 2016 put inks on Jon Bogdanove pencils of Batman 66
Q. Which artist would you love to do a collaboration piece with?
A. Greg Capullo or Madureira
