ARTIST SPOTLIGHT – Aurora O’Brien

This week we welcome Aurora O’Brien to the CBFC Artist Spotlight!

Q. Where are you from?

A. I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ.

Q. How long you’ve been drawing?

A. I’ve been drawing since the day I could pick up a pencil.

Q. What materials do prefer to do your art with?

A. These days my art is done digitally to avoid making a mess and save on materials. However I thoroughly enjoy traditional pastels, inks and watercolors.

Q. Character you love to draw?

A. That’s a tough one. Lately I find myself drawing a couple of my OC’s Aurelia and Syn, but Mary Jane Watson with her cute freckles likes to pop in frequently.

Q. Character that you want to draw that you havn’t drawn yet?

A. That would be Storm from X-men for sure!

Q. What artist inspires you the most and why?

A. There are far too many to name just one! J Scott Campbell is a big, along with Mike Debalfo, Elias Chatzoudis, Steve Rude, Joseph Michael Linsner, and Michael Parkes. Each of these artist have developed their own unique style with amazing rhythm & flow. Not to mention a killer eye for fashion.8.Which artist would you love to do a collaboration piece with? I would give just about anything to collaborate with ANY of the artists listed above!

A. Haven’t had one yet.
