This week we welcome Jordan M. Johnson to the CBFC Artist Spotlight!
Q. Where are you from?
A. Michigan
Q. How long have you been drawing?
A. I have been drawing with purpose since 2011. I doodled for life.
Q. What materials do prefer to do your art with?
A. iPad pro, 11×17 comic board are my main materials. And it’s always good to have a sharp .3 pencil.
Q. Character you love to draw?
A. Hands down Conan the Barbarian.
Q. What Character would you want to draw that you haven’t drawn yet?
A. One of these days I would love the big guy Superman.
Q. What artist inspires you the most and why?
A. I am inspired by artists that don’t cutt corners. I don’t find much inspiration from artists work, but work ethic. I don’t long to be able to draw like someone else. What inspires me is the work ethic to get my voice heard. If I were to name names, I would say Finch, Stegman, Lee.
Q. What was your first published work?
A. MMCC compilation book in 2011.
Q. Which artist would you love to do a collaboration piece with?
A. Mmmm; this is a tough one; Marte Garcia. Best colorist in the business in my opinion.
Big thanks to Jordan for taking the time to answer a few of our questions! Be sure to give him a follow!
